Volunteers are a core part of United HomeCare’s support team. We value each person’s time and develop long-lasting opportunities to make a difference in our community.

From just a few hours a week to a few days a year, your time contribution for volunteering can mean so much to someone who is homebound and lonely. Office volunteers also make a big impact on our staff to help alleviate clerical tasks, so they may focus on our clients.

The personal rewards of volunteering can also make a surprising difference in your life. In fact, volunteering can actually be good for your health – physically, mentally, and emotionally.

AVUS was a huge eye opener to me about senior isolation and depression, seniors are forgotten members of our community. Just like anyone, they need someone to talk to, in order to not feel alone. They are truly human encyclopedias with numerous amounts of stories and lessons. I never would have thought I was going to learn so many new things from simply making a call.
